Livestock Express was founded in 1964 and is the banner under which the livestock fleet operated/managed by Vroon Group in the Netherlands operates. Livestock Express is the largest independent transporter of livestock by sea. The company's fleet consists of several fully fitted livestock carriers of various size and speed that operate out of any country in the world.

Livestock Express's vessels meet and exceed the most stringent rules in place in the worldwide carriage of livestock by sea (such as the Australian, New Zealand, Irish, European, North American). The vessels are fitted, equipped, operated and maintained as to ensure the best possible welfare standards for the animals.

Four brand new livestock carriers have been ordered and are under construction to enter service in the course of 2013.
