Captain
H. Hickman Rowland, Jr. is the President of Wilmington Tug, Inc., based
at the Port of Wilmington, Delaware, and has been an active docking
pilot since 1976. He is President of Delaware Bay Launch Service, Inc.,
and a partner and the Treasurer of Marine Lubricants, Inc. for more that
20 years.
Rowland is a Board Member and past President of the Port of Wilmington Maritime Society, a Board Member of the Maritime Exchange for the Delaware River and Bay, and the Secretary of the Mariner’s Advisory Committee. |

In addition, he is the President of the
Seamen’s Center of Wilmington, a Board Member and a past President of
the St. Andrew’s School and of the Municipal Services Commission (City
of New Castle).
Prior to his maritime career, and following his graduation from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, Rowland worked as an investment banker for the Francis I. DuPont & Co., Philadelphia, PA , and for the Ira Haupt & Co., New York, NY. |
