PORT OF
WILMINGTON TWIC
IMPLEMENTATION
ALL ROAD AREAS AROUND PORT WAREHOUSES ARE SECURE AREAS;
“NON-TWIC’ed” AREAS ARE MONITORED

Guards will stop ALL traffic at TWIC
checkpoint at approach to Port Main Gate and ask EVERYONE to
show their TWIC card.

TWIC cardholders will then proceed to
POW Main Gate and show TWIC card to the
gate guard and
enter the Port.

IF A
TRUCKER OR VISITOR IS NOT IN POSSESSION OF A TWIC
CARD THE GUARD DIRECTS THEM TO THE STAGING AREA ON
CHRISTIANA AVENUE
(Located
in the 600 block of Christiana Ave – Southwest Side.

At the staging area, the trucker will
receive a “NON-TWIC”
identification and have the destination of the truck
verified.
|
 |
Trucker will then receive a “Day
Pass”.
Beginning January 5, 2009 the cost of the “Day
Pass”
will be $25.00.

Trucker will then take the “Day
Pass”
to Main Gate and is then permitted to enter the Port and go
to Operations or the appropriate Fruit Company Trailer.

Summary - “NON-TWIC’ed”
trucker shows Identification, beginning Jan. 5, 2009 pays
$25.00 for the “Day
Pass”,
receives instructions then proceeds to the warehouse
destination. When loading is finished, driver returns to
Operations or Fruit Trailer to obtain a
gate pass and
then proceeds to the Main Gate.

and check on “NON-TWIC” truckers |
